Pacific Forest Trust

Dear {{ 'Short Salutation' | form_value | default: 'Friend' }},

A quick action on your part today could help ensure Oregon's forests are a key part of the solution to climate change.

Thanks to the advocacy of PFT's supporters, and a broad coalition of other Oregon activists, the Joint Committee on Carbon Reduction is poised to move HB 2020 forward to the Ways and Means Committee. You helped ensure the bill dedicates funding to natural and working lands—fully 20% of the climate investments made by this bill—as well as those communities most affected by climate change.

But we're not done yet: your action today will help move the bill towards final passage. Please urge {{'https://actionnetwork.org/letters/joint-committee-on-carbon-reduction-pass-hb-2020-84'|letter}} {{ LetterTitleName | default: 'your state legislator' }} to address climate change by voting yes on Amendment HB 2020-84 to move HB 2020 to the Ways and Means Committee.

Again, thank you for helping ensure that forests are part of the solution to climate change.

Sincerely,

Laurie Wayburn
President, Pacific Forest Trust

P.S. Thank you for taking action today to help Oregon pass effective climate legislation that invests in natural and working lands and impacted communities—Oregon is seeing the effects of climate change as never before and acting now is imperative.
